Associate Job Summary

Valuation Practice

The primary focus of the valuation associate position is to assist senior team members with project execution in our valuation practice. Specific valuation experience should include complex securities, financial reporting, Monte Carlo simulations, and binomial lattice modeling.

Chartwell locations with open positions: Minneapolis and Portland

Basic Qualifications

  • 4-year undergraduate degree
  • 3+ years relevant valuation experience
  • CPA, ASA, ABV, CFA or other relevant professional credentials preferred

Corporate Finance Practice

The primary focus of the corporate finance associate position is to assist senior team members with client project execution in our corporate finance practice. The role is designed to provide the associate with broad-based knowledge and understanding of business valuation and corporate finance combined with significant exposure to deal execution across a variety of transaction types.

Chartwell locations with open positions: Minneapolis

Basic Qualifications

  • 4-year undergraduate business degree with focus in finance or accounting
  • Minimum 3 years relevant investment banking experience with a nationally known firm in their leveraged finance, financial sponsors, M&A, financial restructuring, and/or debt capital markets group
  • Deep knowledge of corporate finance theories and financial and cash flow modeling experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of ESOPs (preferred but not required)
