Austin is a member of Chartwell’s corporate finance practice. He supports senior members of the firm with mergers & acquisitions, capital markets, and ESOP-related ownership transition transactions. Austin has experience in performing financial analyses, including valuation and cash flow modeling, creating marketing materials, and gathering and preparing due diligence information.
Austin is a registered representative with Chartwell affiliate CCS Transactions, LLC and holds FINRA Series 63 and 79 licenses.
Prior to Chartwell, Austin was an alternative investment analyst at U.S. Bank Global Fund Services, where he created monthly net asset value packages for multiple clients.

Matt performs analysis related to valuations of privately held middle-market companies, including companies with employee stock ownership plans. He is skilled in the areas of gathering due diligence information and analyzing guideline public companies as well as examining merger and acquisition markets. Matt also studies the economic and industry conditions that can impact a company’s financial statements.
Matt is a member of Chartwell’s consulting team and is experienced in advising companies on a wide range of topics including strategic alternatives, employee stock ownership plans, ESOP transactions, and strategies for long-term sustainability. He works with business owners, management teams, and boards of directors at ESOP companies to provide a holistic perspective of a company’s financial position and future capital claims.
Matt is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of Minnesota and holds membership in the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Prior to Chartwell, Matt was a senior audit associate at Grant Thornton where he focused on all facets of audit engagements, managed client relationships, and supervised junior staff members.
