Sam performs analysis related to valuations of privately-held middle-market companies, including companies with employee stock ownership plans. He is skilled in the areas of gathering due diligence information and analyzing guideline public companies as well as examining merger and acquisition markets. Sam also studies the economic and industry conditions that can impact a company’s financial statements.

Sam began his career at Chartwell during his senior year of college when he participated in the firm’s internship program.

Jay Christensen

Jay performs analysis related to valuations of privately-held middle-market companies, including companies with employee stock ownership plans. He is skilled in the areas of gathering due diligence information and analyzing guideline public companies as well as examining merger and acquisition markets. Jay also studies the economic and industry conditions that can impact a company’s financial statements.

Andrew Cooper

Andrew performs analysis related to valuations of privately-held middle-market companies, including companies with employee stock ownership plans. He is skilled in the areas of gathering due diligence information and analyzing guideline public companies as well as examining merger and acquisition markets. Andrew also studies the economic and industry conditions that can impact a company’s financial statements.

Rob Faust

Rob joined Chartwell in 2017 and is a member of the firm’s valuation and transaction opinions team. He has experience advising privately-held business owners and management teams on a wide range of services including valuations of employee stock ownership plans, ESOP transactions, mergers & acquisitions, and strategic alternatives. He has expertise in financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and the analysis of guideline public companies and M&A markets. Rob has particular experience working with companies in the architecture and engineering sector.

Scott Fudenberg

Scott is a member of Chartwell’s corporate finance practice. He supports senior members of the firm with mergers & acquisitions, capital markets, and ESOP-related ownership transition transactions. Scott has experience in performing financial analyses, including valuation and cash flow modeling as well as creating marketing materials, and gathering and preparing due diligence information.

Scott began his career at Chartwell during his senior year of college when he participated in the firm’s internship program.

He is skilled at cash flow modeling, the analysis of public market guideline companies, merger and acquisition markets, and evaluating the industry and economic conditions that impact a company’s operations.

Adam is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Portland. He also holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.

Professional Experience

Prior to Chartwell, Adam was an institutional consulting analyst at Morgan Stanley. As a member of the institutional investment consulting team, he served middle-market firms across various industries with corporate retirement plans, endowments, foundations, and cash pooling solutions.

Prior to Chartwell, Michael was an Acquisitions Lead at SureSwift Capital where he developed relationships with prospective acquisition targets and evaluated SaaS investment opportunities. He also spent time as a Banking Associate at Northland Securities underwriting large commercial loan participations.
