Last month, Chartwell professionals participated in Movember, the annual month-long beard and moustache event put on by the Movember Foundation to raise awareness of some of the most significant health issues faced by men. Together, we raised $4,500 to help men live happier, healthier, longer lives. We also grew some pretty awesome facial hair!

The Movember Foundation addresses some of the leading health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. The Movember Foundation aims to increase early cancer detection, diagnose depression before it escalates, and ultimately reduce the number of preventable deaths. Movember inspires participants to dedicate 30 days of action to help men live happier, healthier, longer lives. Whether it’s challenging participants to move for men’s health, engage in old-fashioned fundraising, or grow a moustache, everyone can get involved in Movember.
This year, our team raised $4,500 for the Movember Foundation, beating our goal of $4,000 for the second year in a row! Part of our fundraising effort included donating to make our moustache and beard participants ultimately shave into selected styles such as the Imperial Napoleon III and the A La Souvarov. Chartwell’s Charity Committee thanks everyone who donated, fundraised, moved for men’s health, and participated in our moustache and beard contest.
