Paul began his career providing independent business valuation services to privately-held companies and their shareholders. He founded Chartwell in 1995 and has grown the firm into a leading national financial advisory serving the middle market.
He engaged with his first ESOP-owned company in 1987 and has dedicated 30+ years to providing unrivalled guidance on all financial aspects an organization may encounter during the lifecycle of ESOP ownership.
Paul has led Chartwell’s development from a single location valuation firm into a multifaceted financial advisory firm offering unmatched consulting, corporate finance, and valuation expertise. He devotes the majority of his client focus to advising companies, boards of directors, ESOP trustees, and business owners on long-range ownership and capital planning matters.

Paul is an active member of The ESOP Association and the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO), where he has been a frequent speaker and thought leader for both organizations.
Paul is a registered representative with Chartwell affiliate CCS Transactions, LLC and holds FINRA Series 24, 63, and 79 licenses.

Kelly oversees Chartwell’s day-to-day corporate accounting activities. She manages the accounting department staff and provides financial information about company activities to assist management, partners, and other leaders in making educated economic decisions that impact the firm.
Professional Experience
Kelly has over 20 years of accounting and finance experience. Prior to Chartwell, Kelly managed the accounting, financial, and payroll functions at Salo. Preceding Salo, she spent 13 years working closely with senior business leaders of Seabury Group and held multiple accounting leadership roles including global manager of financial reporting and controller of various entities of the company. Kelly began her career as a staff auditor at a certified public accounting firm.
Diane leads the development and execution of firm-wide human resources policies and procedures and supports executive management by providing counsel and guidance on these matters. She is instrumental in upholding and communicating Chartwell’s core values of trust and respect through the development of effective policies. She is responsible for overseeing talent management and acquisition, employee training and development, succession planning, organizational and performance management, and compensation.
Professional Experience
Diane has over 25 years of human resources and office administration experience. Prior to Chartwell, she worked as the regional office manager at Forest City Enterprises, a mainland-based developer of military housing in Hawaii.
