Wil Becker
Wil is a leader in Chartwell’s corporate finance practice and brings more than 30 years of experience providing financial advisory services to privately held businesses. He specializes in ownership transition strategies for middle-market companies, including the execution of traditional M&A transactions on both the sell and buy sides. In addition, Wil works closely with business owners on the sale of their companies to newly formed ESOPs.
Wil advises both private and ESOP-owned companies on a broad range of corporate finance matters, helping owners and management teams navigate complex strategic and financial decisions. His experience spans a wide variety of industry sectors.
In addition to his client responsibilities, Wil serves as head of Chartwell’s broker-dealer affiliate, CCS Transactions, LLC, where he also acts as Chief Compliance Officer.
Professional Involvement & Certification
Wil is an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth, Private Directors Association, The ESOP Association, and the National Center for Employee Ownership. He is a frequent speaker on topics related to mergers and acquisitions, ESOPs, valuation, and ownership transition planning.
Wil holds the designation of Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in Business Valuation from the American Society of Appraisers and maintains FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 79 licenses.
Professional Experience
Before joining Chartwell in 2002, Wil was part of the corporate development team at Securian Financial, where he participated in M&A activities and the company’s restructuring into a mutual holding company.
