Chartwell is excited to announce the launch of our Interim Leadership practice, where we bring the talent companies need to execute financial initiatives that support sustainable growth and value creation.
The Chartwell team gathered in Minneapolis for our annual summer volunteer day, an initiative organized by the firm’s enrichment committee. Through our 2026 “Chartwell Cares” campaign we supported The Family Partnership with a fun bike build competition rooted in teamwork and creativity. Together, we helped build children’s bicycles for local youth ahead of the new school year.
“One of my favorite parts of our all-employee event is the chance to give back to the community where we gather. This year, building 26 bicycles for kids through The Family Partnership was such a fun and rewarding experience. It brought our whole team together around something that truly matters. I’m proud that we get to help bring moments like these to life. We are already looking forward to next year!” said Diane Riley, Chartwell Director of Human Resources.
To close out the volunteer event, The Family Partnership President & CEO Emily Larson shared the organization’s mission with our group and accepted the bikes on behalf of the selected recipients and their families. “Thanks to Chartwell’s generous support, our network kiddos are excited to get outside to enjoy all the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of biking.”
For nearly 150 years, The Family Partnership has worked with families and individuals to remove barriers and clear the path for success for those who have experienced deep poverty and trauma. They have helped more than one million people maintain hope through world wars, economic depressions, global pandemics, and social unrest. The Family Partnership focuses on a whole family approach to improving health and well-being.
As a relationship-based firm focused on the long-term success of our clients, Chartwell recognizes the importance of giving back to our communities. Our entire team is dedicated to upholding this value. In addition to our corporate philanthropic events, every Chartwell professional is encouraged to support causes and dedicate time to organizations they are passionate about.
This summer, Chartwell marked a major milestone with an unforgettable retreat to Devil’s Thumb Ranch in Colorado. Surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, our team enjoyed a variety of outdoor adventures, from hiking and horseback riding to fly fishing and zip lining. Evenings were filled with great food, line dancing, and plenty of laughter.
During the retreat, we came together for a spirited Pioneer Challenge, testing both skill and teamwork across four exciting activities: archery, mine field, hatchet throwing, and laser biathlon. To make the challenge even more meaningful, each team competed on behalf of a charity:
Pink & Red Teams – Girls on the Run is dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.
Black & Purple Teams – Pinky Swear Foundation has a mission to help kids with cancer and their families with financial support to help lift the burden of housing, food, and transportation costs.
Green & Blue Teams – Reading Partners provides proven, individualized reading support to put elementary students on a path toward reading at grade level by fourth grade.
Yellow & Orange Teams – Family Promise prevents and ends homelessness for families with children and helps them achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response.
The energy was high as teams navigated the mine field with precision, aimed true at the archery and hatchet throwing stations, and gave their all in the laser biathlon. Friendly rivalries fueled the competition, but the true win was seeing our company come together in support of such impactful organizations.
In the end, the Pioneer Challenge wasn’t just about who scored the most points, it was about teamwork, camaraderie, and giving back. Every charity walked away a winner, thanks to the support of Chartwell’s Enrichment Committee.
As we reflect on the past three decades, we’re proud of the relationships we’ve built with our colleagues, our clients, and the communities we serve. Here’s to the next 30 years of success together.
