Olivia joined Chartwell in 2013 and is a member of the firm’s valuation and transaction opinions practice. She provides financial advisory and valuation services, with a focus on employee stock ownership plans. Olivia also has experience advising companies on ownership transition strategies, including buy-side and sell-side transactions. Throughout her career, she has worked with a diverse array of companies across various industry sectors and has extensive experience advising architecture and engineering firms.

Professional Involvement & Certification

Olivia is an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), where she currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Portland chapter and as chair of the Excelling Leaders group. She is also a member of The ESOP Association and the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO).

Olivia is designated as an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in Business Valuation by the American Society of Appraisers. She is a registered representative with Chartwell affiliate CCS Transactions, LLC and holds FINRA Series 63 and 79 licenses.

Nick has worked in financial analysis and accounting since 2014. He assists in the valuation of operating companies, family limited partnerships, and limited liability companies for a variety of purposes, including employee stock ownership plans, corporate planning, estate and gift tax, financial reporting, and merger and acquisitions.

Professional Experience

Prior to Chartwell, Nick was a senior manager at Legacy Equity Valuations. His preceding time was spent as a senior analyst at Moss Adams LLP in the business valuation department and also in accounting and operations roles with Seattle Children’s Research Institute. Nick was a member of the U.S. Air Force from 2006-2010 as a linguist before honorably separating.

Jeff joined Chartwell in 2015 and is a member of the firm’s valuation and transaction opinions team. He has experience advising privately held business owners and management teams on a wide range of services including valuations of employee stock ownership plans, ESOP transactions, mergers & acquisitions, and strategic alternatives. He has expertise in financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and the analysis of guideline public companies and M&A markets.

Jeff is passionate about mentoring the next generation of finance professionals and assists with the training and development of the firm’s new analysts.

Jeff is an active member of The ESOP Association, where he regularly attends local, regional, and national conferences focused on employee ownership. He is designated as an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in Business Valuation by the American Society of Appraisers.

Josh joined Chartwell in 2016 and is a member of the firm’s valuation and transaction opinions team. He has experience advising privately held business owners and management teams on a wide range of services including valuations of employee stock ownership plans, ESOP transactions, mergers & acquisitions, and strategic alternatives. Josh has advised clients on engagements across all of Chartwell’s service lines throughout his career with the firm, providing him with a strong understanding of corporate finance methodologies, transaction structures, capital structures, and a proficiency in analyzing financial statements.

Josh is passionate about mentoring the next generation of financial professionals and co-leads Chartwell’s internship program, where he supervises the education and output of the firm’s financial analyst interns.

Adam provides valuation services related to employee stock ownership plans, equity compensation, capital structure, and financial reporting. He is skilled at cash flow modeling, the analysis of public market guideline companies, merger and acquisition markets, and evaluating the industry and economic conditions that impact a company’s operations.

Professional Certification

Adam is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Portland. He also holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.

Professional Experience

Prior to Chartwell, Adam was an institutional consulting analyst at Morgan Stanley. As a member of the institutional investment consulting team, he served middle-market firms across various industries with corporate retirement plans, endowments, foundations, and cash pooling solutions.

Cory is a member of the firm’s valuation and transaction opinions team. He provides financial advisory services that help business owners make informed decisions by blending deep financial analysis with practical insight into company-specific risks, industry dynamics, and transaction strategy.

Cory has advised clients on all aspects of ownership transition, including third-party sales, management buyouts, and ESOPs. He has led successful transactions involving private and publicly traded buyers and frequently works on both the sell-side and buy-side of M&A deals. His valuation expertise enhances his ability to support clients through complex negotiations, especially in structuring deals that align with financial and personal goals.

Cory is an active member of The ESOP Association and the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO). He has been a featured speaker at national conferences held by these organizations on valuation issues. Cory frequently speaks to employee and professional groups, boards of directors, and ESOP trustees. Cory also participates in the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors (AM&AA).

Cory is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) as granted by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA). He is a recipient of the NAVCA 30 Under 30 Award.

Prior to Chartwell, Cory was a Manager at Atlantic Management Company.

Dan has over thirteen years of experience in business valuation and public accounting. He performs valuation analyses for a variety of purposes including shareholder disputes, purchase price allocation, intangible asset appraisal, goodwill impairment, and tax compliance. Dan also has experience calculating economic damages, including lost profits, diminution of value, and unjust enrichment on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants. Throughout his career, Dan has worked with companies across a diverse array of industries.

Professional Certification

Dan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of Florida and holds membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Additionally, Dan is Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) as granted by the AICPA.

Professional Experience

Prior to Chartwell, Dan held associate roles at B. Riley Advisory Services (formerly GlassRatner) and Stout. He began his career as an auditor at a regional public accounting firm.

Sam performs analysis related to valuations of privately-held middle-market companies, including companies with employee stock ownership plans. He is skilled in the areas of gathering due diligence information and analyzing guideline public companies as well as examining merger and acquisition markets. Sam also studies the economic and industry conditions that can impact a company’s financial statements.

Sam began his career at Chartwell during his senior year of college when he participated in the firm’s internship program.

Michael is a member of the firm’s valuation and transaction opinions team. His work covers ESOP assignments, estate and gift planning and reporting, income tax matters, marital dissolutions, shareholder transactions, and M&A. In addition to providing expert witness testimony in commercial arbitration, he advises clients on purchase price allocations, transaction advisory assignments, and other consulting projects.

Professional Certification

Michael is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of Kentucky. He is also Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) as granted by the AICPA.

Professional Experience

Prior to Chartwell, Michael was a Manager at Atlantic Management Company. Earlier, he worked in public accounting with a primary focus on business valuation. He also spent time as a financial analyst, where he performed financial modeling and feasibility analyses for start-up companies in the energy sector and for nonprofit organizations.

Jordan is a member of the firm’s valuation and transaction opinions team. He has nearly 10 years of financial advisory experience performing valuations for a variety of purposes including ESOPs, business and stock, gift and estate tax, personal property, business combination, minority interest buyout, executive reasonable compensation analyses, and appraisal reviews.

Professional Certification

Jordan is designated as an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in Business Valuation and Machinery & Technical Specialties (MTS) by the American Society of Appraisers.

Professional Experience

Prior to Chartwell, Jordan was a Manager at Atlantic Management Company. He has held roles at Armanino, LLP as well as Arthur Financial Services, an Austin, Texas-based regional consulting firm.
